I really liked reading "The Champion's Mind" by Dr. Afremow, but I LOVE "The Champion's Comeback." I learned a lot about excellence and resilience from this entertaining read. Definitely a keeper!

I was somewhat disappointed with the quantity of cliches and sports-speak. A large portion of the book seemed rambling, unorganized and the thoughts of people other than the author. I did enjoy the author's application of criteria set out early in the book (7 L's) to certain historical situations...

I find Afremow's suggestions for focus and attitude towards setbacks to be helpful in moving forward in recovery or comebacks not just in sport but in work, academics and other endeavors.
