This was a Yuki-centric volume which I am much less interested in (sorry, Yuki, you're just not my beloved Kyo), but still good.
We get a good glimpse into Rin who I have a much different opinion of now than I did when I initially read the series. I used to think she was annoying, now I think her...

I love that this volume really goes deeper into Yuki and Rin's backstories so we can get to know them better as fleshed out characters. The more of this manga I read the deeper I fall in love with it. No manga could ever comr close to how I feel about Fruits Basket, it changed my life in ways uni...

Things are beginning to build again, laying the ground for the last third of this saga. I'd like to see more change on Tohru's part, though.

The start of this volume explores the relationship between Yuki and his biological mother and explains a lot about why he is so drawn to Tohru, especially if he thinks of her as a mother figure. His mother was cruel and even says she "used him as a tool", i.e. letting him go to Akito's and become...

I really enjoyed focusing on Yuki in this volume. It's not something that happens in most of the other books, and I like learning about him and his life.
I also really enjoyed learning about Rin and her quest to break the curse.
Basically, very good. Off to Volume 8!!

This volume wasn't my favorite of the series because there was little interaction between Tohru and the main Sohma characters, like Yuki and Kyo. It gave more background into what the Sohma clan Zodiac children have to go through, making the series even darker from the initial goofy fantasy of th...
