Read Fables (The Deluxe Edition, #15) Online Free - The #1 New York Times best-selling series!
Acclaimed by critics and readers alike, these modern classics of comic book storytelling are now collected for the first time in a series of beautiful hardcover volumes. FABLES: THE DELUXE EDITION BOOK FIFTEEN brings the award-winning series to a close with the epic tales "Happily Ever After" and "Farewell" from issues #141-150 of the award-winning Vertigo series, and features a new introduction by FABLES creator Bill Willingham as well as a special sketchbook section from artist Mark Buckingham.
Imagine that all the characters from the world's most beloved storybooks were real and living among us, with all of their powers intact. How would they cope with life in our mundane, un-magical reality?
The answer can be found in FABLES, Bill Willingham's celebrated reimagining of the venerable fairy tale canon. From Snow White and the Big Bad Wolf to Goldilocks and Little Boy Blue, the folk characters of old are reborn here as exiles living in the magically camouflaged New York City neighborhood of Fabletown.

Review to come once it has sunken in. Right now, I just can't believe it's done.
I know some people were disappointed in how this series ended, but for me, it made sense. That final realization of Rose Red's felt like something I as a reader should've realized along the way, but never connected...

Well. It's finally over. I feel a little foolish to have stuck with it so long, but I'm nothing if not stubborn and felt that I should see this one through. The whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth, and I won't be visiting any more of the spin-offs. Bill seems a little like a Neil Gaiman that...

I expected nothing, yet I'm still disappointed.
How you could screw up such a great story with such a mediocre ending I will never know. Weak resolutions, characters acting against their own interests for 'magical story' reasons, chock full of filler conclusions for characters you don't care about...

I am not sure what I expected out of this. Willingham has already done huge battles and big monsters and betrayals and every other fairy story trope imaginable. The conflict between Snow and Rose could have been interesting, but ends up as a mediocre last gasp. I enjoyed the wrap ups for all the...

A suitably epic ending to this long saga of Fairytale characters living in our world, with the final story focusing on the central characters of Snow White, Bigby Wolf and Rose Red. Even beyond (and within) this final story are lots of short epilogues about many of the characters, many of whom I...

Thus ends "Fables." As a friend likes to say, "It was real. It was fun. But it wasn't real fun."

A fitting conclusion to one of the best comic serie I have ever read.

:'-) Is it really over?

The last volumes of Fables offered a lot of weak resolutions to end in an ultimately disappointing fashion. Such a shame....
